Spring 2019: Princeton Rescue Squad provided Extrication training for EMS Professionals. The course included current employees conducting annual training exercises in vehicle extrication and introduced new employees to the skills necessary in operating numerous types of life saving equipment (ie: jaws of life, electric and hand tools, high/low angle rope rescue, etc.). Meanwhile, students from our current EMT Basic training course were simultaneously engaged in patient care activities during the extrication so that they can have a reality-based simulation experience to build their problem solving and critical thinking skills. The goal of this activity is to make them more confident in their abilities as future Pre-Hospital Providers while they progress through their initial training.
